Vishal Veeru Devgan, born Vishal Veeru Devgan, is a well-known Indian actor, filmmaker, and producer mainly active in Hindi cinema. Widely recognized as one of Bollywood's leading actors, he has acted in over a hundred movies and received several awards, including 4 National Film Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's prestigious civilian award. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a blockbuster that catapulted him to fame. He subsequently starred in popular action movies such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic hits like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His critically acclaimed performance in *Zakhm* (1998) earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn delivered highly appreciated performances in movies like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006).
